And a reminder -- WTS will be closed Thursday and Friday (November 25 & 26) for the holiday.

New, Simplified Pricing - Starting January 2011

We're changing our price structure, beginning with the January 2011 invoice (which you'll receive in early February).

WTS hasn't changed fees in many years, and this change is intended to simplify our prices, not increase our revenues.

There will be a flat article fee, regardless of where we get the article. So, you'll be saving $1 for every off-campus article we provide (please note that off-campus supplier fees are still passed on to our clients) .

We're also doing away with the copyright surcharge. so you'll save $1 on every article for which we've paid copyright on your behalf.

Due to the increasing number of book loan requests and the intensive work related to tracking books, our Book Loan fees are increasing slightly:

Base Fee: $20 per title (up to 3 volumes)
Rush: +$10 request must be received by 12:00 p.m. CST
Super Rush : +$20 request must be received by 2:00 p.m. CST
Renewal: $10
Overdue: $10 per week

Our book shipping and replacement fees have not changed (we only charge to ship books when you do not provide a FedEx or UPS account number).

Our Research/Literature Searching fees are not changing.

We hope these changes make it a bit easier for you to estimate what an item would cost. Thank you all for your business and we look forward to continuing to provide you fast, reliable, and affordable service!

WTS Closed Monday Oct. 11, 2010

WTS will be closed October 11, 2010 for an office-wide furlough day. We'll be back in action on Tuesday.

Happy Trails, Carolyn!

Carolyn Tweten, Director, has retired after 18 years with WTS. She was an excellent searcher of hard-to-find materials and her knowledge and expertise will be missed.


Director duties are being split between Karen and Rachel for now. Literature searching projects are being shared between Christy, Karen, and Rachel.

Closed on July 5

WTS will be closed on July 5 in observance of Independence Day.

Memorial Day

WTS will be closed on Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day. We hope everyone has the day off as well and that you all enjoy a long weekend!

May 21st Closure & E-mail Upgrade

WTS will be closed Friday, May 21st for a University-wide furlough day. We'll be back on Monday the 24th, as usual, to handle all your requests.

While the University is closed, they are taking the opportunity to upgrade our e-mail service. What that means for you, is that you can place orders through our website as usual, however you won't receive a confirmation e-mail. We will still get your orders. You can check that your order was placed successfully by following the link provided after order placement, or use the left hand link "Order Status" on the WTS webpage.

WTS Staff participate in Edible Book Festival

Rebekah, along with Annie, Amy and Lia from the Wendt Library staff created a "book" made of cake, fondant, frosting, pretzles and almond bark inspired by CRCnetBASE (e-books) for the Edible Book Festival, one of the activities that UW-Madison sponsors for National Library Week.

WTS at AALL this summer

Christy and Rebekah will be exhibiting for WTS at the AALL Annual Meeting in Denver, CO in July. We would enjoy seeing you there.

Presidents Day Closure
